  Luna Lovegood dream

  

  I had a really curious dream, I was at home with two close friends and an adult, and we were going on a mission. I was meant to take polyjuice potion to look like Luna Lovegood, so we were going through my wardrobe to find colourful clothes that would clash in just the right way. Ignoring the fact that I would shrink in size quite a bit, that would just add to the artiness, except fot the shoes being much too large. I had a whole stash of Converse under my bed (non-existent in real life), and I think the final outfit was going to be either yellow and purple t-shirt with bits of material turning into wool, white trousers with suspenders and yellow Converse, or a loosely open red checkered shirt over something I can’t remember the colours of, yellow jeans and a pair of Converse made from so many patches of differently coloured materials that it induced dizziness. I think the dream ended as I was dressed already, but before taking the potion. A bit weird in general, the whole thing

  I’ve kind of got a bit of a downer, need to get over the thought that I’ll likely never again see that girl; and work isn’t going as well as I’d like it to be. I’ve been listening to Lykke Li’s Possibility on repeat, so that kind of the mood I’m in.

  Beauty on the bus

  

  She was stunning. Pale with dark hair and a splatter of freckles on her nose, her nose was perfection, her eyes black as night, her features dazzling. I was standing sideways and she was sitting in front of me; at that moment I knew I’d regret not asking her out for a coffee. I was trying to be certain if she was peaking at me, or just looking at the back of the bus; I missed my stop just to go a bit further. When I decided to get off, she also got off, I was walking alongside her, and then she stopped, she looked at a bus stop sign, but my cowardice propelled me on and away from her, I walked 5 meters, 10, 15, and then stopped. I turned around, and she was talking to a taxi driver; I kicked myself as that would have been a perfect opportunity. Why am I so shy. It ruins my life. I’m going to regret it now.

  PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

  I am looking for the aforementioned girl, she looks like a young (17-21 year old) Audrey Hepburn (image above), with a slightly more prominent and freckly nose. I saw her in London (UK) around 11pm 29th August 2011 on bus number 30 on the route from Kings Cross to Highbury Corner. She was carrying a tan leather hand bag and two canvas bags, one containing things wrapped in bubble wrap.   Notting Hill Carnival

  

  People during the carnival are just so friendly, I wasn’t expecting it to be like this, especially with so much police and the tension after the riots a few weeks ago. Everything was so nice, like a party where everyone knew each other. I didn’t really enjoy the music as much, but the atmosphere was great, and even the policemen seemed to be enjoying themselves :)

  Most beautiful voice

  

  I was just going out to get some dinner when I bumped into my neighbours (someone I hadn’t actually ever met or seen before), I think they were a couple, I said hi, they responded in kind, and then the girl said something to the man, and my heart skipped a step; they were walking away by then, I can’t even tell what they looked like, my mind was stuck on that voice. It was a beautiful voice, reminded me of Scent of a Woman with Al Pacino, which I’d seen about half a year ago (it’s the only film Al ever got an Oscar for). The scene which came rushing back was a Tango dance; we are introduced to Donna, a beautiful girl with an enchanting voice. There’s no more to say except that you have to watch the film, and in the meantime here’s a clip of the scene:

  Terry Richardson

  

  This is an interesting one, I don’t want to focus on his sexual exploits, though these would be quite a big part of his career. I should say, for those that don’t know, Terry is a fashion photographer, a damned good one as it goes. He regularly works for Vogue and Harpers Bazaar, hangs out with A-listers, shoots portraits of Obama, etcetera.

  Twelve hours ago I was in the middle of nowhere, at my friends country house; at some point in the night I found myself in the middle of a field, emptiness surrounding me. I was lying on my back, staring straight up at the sky; a sky full of stars, an immensely gigantic sky full of stars. It felt like being in love, the stars were beautiful, they caught my breath, a feeling of bliss washed over me, I lost myself in them, just lying there floating in the sky.

  I don’t even own a tv, but earlier today I woke up at a friends place, and as I was sleeping in the sitting room there was a tv sitting right in front of me. The first thing that appeared when I turned it on - was a cooking channel. I don’t know why I didn’t switch, maybe the strength in my fingers expired after pressing the remote once; I’m glad I had no energy, otherwise I wouldn’t have discovered Chuck Hughes. Through my half closed eyes I saw someone opening a beer and pouring it into a saucepan, that piqued my curiosity, I slowly started waking up; the person proceeded to making a whole whirlwind of dishes using beer in all of them - and everything looked absolutely delicious! I’m trying to find a cook book of his, it seems like he’s published one, but there’s no way of buying it online?

  Turning 20 on Friday

  

  Ah ah ah ah ah that terrifying thought, I’m leaving my teen years behind, I don’t want to turn 20, I don’t want to celebrate my birthday, I want to remain a teenager!

  Does anyone have any recipes on staying forever young?

  Dodgy medication

  

  That’s a first, as I was walking down the street there was a guy selling medication out of his too big jacket pockets.

  It seemed a bit weird because it’s almost as bad as someone selling drugs, but he was doing it in broad daylight in the middle of the city; not the dodgy back alley dealings I would have expected.

  God this guy is cool, not only did he invent Tumblr, but he’s also a fan of Harry Potter. Not much to say - I want to be him. For the meantime - enjoy his tumblr. (Yeah I joked like that, enjoy his personal tumblr)
